Thanks to Michael`s email about this parcel I bought these three wines.

Matsu El Picaro 2012 Toro 3x150cl Magnums

Matsu El Viejo 2010 Toro

Matsu El Recio 2010 Toro

Anyone else buy any ?? CT looks promising.

Rich, I was very tempted,

A handsome and desirable addition to your cellar.

Dunc,

I only bought on the back of CT and the prices seemed very reasonable.
What held you back ? I dont know this winery so any insight would be most welcome.

Hey Richard,

I too was tempted but decided not to as I should try and slow down on wine purchases and particularly as my Spanish red stocks are by my standards adequate enough

I see John X Merriman 08 got a CT90 scoring. How's it drinking? Based on the 07 I last tried, I figured they would need a little more time to mellow out a bit but had all the flavour dimensions I would hope for

Shezza,

Hi, my CT shows I only have one 08 and one 09 in stock.
I guess I will try and leave these for a few more years and then open with a 2010 as a mini vertical ?

The 08 i had posted on CT last week was consumed a while back as I noticed I had 2 bottles showing.
The best vintage was the 2006 if you have any in stock ??

I only managed to get a few 06's when I first came to know of this wine and they've all been consumed.
I now have a few of the 07, 08 & 10 and 6x RM Nicholson 09 to try over time
Having looked on CT (and I think I posted a note here too), it was actually the 08 that I tried last time - I managed to make the bottle last nearly a week !
