Have got tickets for opening ceremony tonight. Tried and tried for the ordinary Olympics and never got a ticket. V excited. Expecting to get home just after 3am. Less good.

Have fun, should be a good night.

The Olympic organisers have advised people to watch out for fake tickets. I think I'll be alright though, my tickets for the men's wheelchair triple jump seem genuine enough.

Goose sent me some free tickets for the sheep shooting.
Shooting? is that right? I think it said 'shooting'.

It was wonderful. So much to see, all the time. Everything I could see, from ear to ear, was beautiful and bright.

Sadly, it over-ran, so we missed our last train home. Had to sleep at Paddington for 3 hours. I can recommend the cafe behind Yo Sushi. We pushed two leather(ette) sofas together and made a sort of cot. A bit nippy, but made the best of a bad job.

...and the rain shoved off with purrrfect timing.
Paddington is such a dump, pity you couldn't get back to civilisation in proper order.
Glad you enjoyed the extravaganza gran reserva !
