Wilco - Thanks for posting the PR write -up.
Do the PR people say which valley ? The Wairau Valley near the mouth of the river has been judged by Bob Campbell as the most pleasurable for the 2011 vintage. This valley runs parallel and more north of the Awatere, and is generally a little warmer
A southern area of Malborough, they say ! Well now, a huge territory if we are talking about a 100% single vineyard wine. I don't think much of that PR credential details, nevertheless, I suppose someone took the trouble of typing it up. In the northern hemisphere planting the rows north - south does not maximise the exposure to sun. Both Marlborough valleys run East-West, that is a weird PR write-up - Eh ?
Wilco -Thanks for the additional info. It's a big vineyard wherever it is, if it has three different parcels of fruit from two distinct ares, that were blended ? In the context of huge vineyards in OZ and NZ, saying 100% single vineyard is rather meaningless, it's hardy a Burgundy climat
Leaving the wine on the lees adds complexity, so it's worth a go.
Perhaps Mr G, (Goosegogs) knows something about Eveline Frazer. (Eveline), spelling in NZ, does that indicate a gal or a guy ? More to look-up after I've tried the wine.
Cheers for the follow-up
