I received their monthly wine mag this week, the letter included a £10 off my next £50+ spend.

Its been some time since I've seen a £10 off £50 voucher, a couple of years perhaps (excluding the first buy offer).

It might even get used when they next run a free delivery promo.

I just had a £5 off voucher and free delivery offer expire on Sunday.
So this is effectively their way of extending the same offer

Not quite, the free delivery was for everyone, expired Sunday.

If I use this £10 voucher with the next general free delivery promo it adds up to £16.25 off my order.

yeah but they tend to leave it a while before next offering free delivery, by which time I'm assuming your voucher will have expired ?

Thus save a tenner with £5 off + free delivery = £10 voucher

Hmnnn - It's a foul, I have to spend £80+ to get this £10 voucher ! I'll email the check-out code later. Cheeky buggers, they've been combing through the orders to find the level of inducement required. I'd been ordering some boxes for a client in the last 3 months using his card, and also of course my card on my account number !

I haven't bought for myself for a while now.

Valid until 27th May, I'll be amazed if they dont have a free delivery week before then as they have had one every month for the last 3 million years.

Next!

Indeed, the discounts have been along the lines of £5 off £50/£70 spend, £10 off £80 or 500 clubcard points.

Its been some time since I saw a £10 off £50 spend (for existing account holders).

Yeah, once again GK, you have the best voucher deal - how's that ? You've been the longest resistor to the dangling carrot

Possibly, I havent ordered from T for at least six months, possibly longer, will need to check.

I bought a case of Italian Lager from M&S recently, very nice indeed. Link.

maybe because the only time he buys wine from Tesco he manages to find bottles going for £2.
So to get him to spend £50 is the same as the rest of us spending £80 :)

However this didn’t find its way to our shores via a sea of dreary Italian bulk shipments

I must give it a go, I've been trying to wean myself off wine every evening.
Great veg garden weather, I've got the land really clean before sowing this time, although a hosepipe ban starts here tomorrow - There is always something lurking round the corner, to choke off progress - Ugh.

Just - Thames water lost half their consumption on leaking pipes in 2005, it's now down to a third - they say. An olympic swimming pool emptied every minute - I think they said - every minute ! London pipes are not that clever.

Tesco online have Cloudy Bay 2011 for £16 and Ata Rangi 2010/11 for £13. Maj have £20 and £18 on these.

I am not tempted. Villa Maria 2011 Wairau Reserve beats all and is £9.99 at Maj. Waitrose have Vav 2010 for £12. More expensive than Maj but there you can at least buy a single bottle.
