Whilst browsing the 25% off any 6 shelves, I realised (yet again) that loads were missing.
However I found a cracking deal with a big yellow card. Bottled beer...£1.47 ea. or 2 for only £3...magic

I found Walkers Sensations crisps - large sharing pack the other week.

2 for £2 or 87p each

TBF, their tills are clever enough to give you the lowest price in these ridiculous cases.

The annual pre-Xmas clear out, and ready for the southern H new vintage. Some good deals to be had if you pick and choose carefully.
Some fizz < £4 etc.

Accidentally. I selected the "best sellers" option to list the (white) wines. What a surprise, in the top 60 best-selling bottles are...

Beer & Auswotsit (half) ...£23
Chablis PC...£27
Mersault PC...£40
Sauternes...£56
Condrieu...£64

Dear Mr. Tesco.

Yes, of course we believe you !

The IT lads at Tesco HQ, have muddled "value" (not Tesco Butcher Boy Stripe brand value) with "volume" in their sort programme.

Presumably Chateau Figeac is the top doggy in the reds ? No.. no ..dont check it out Ba !

Last day for a lot of the discounts tomorrow
I struck gold in store tonight.... This must be how GK regularly feels:

On top of buying some reasonable value Spanish reds (recommended in other threads by you guys) I got fantastic bargains on the following:

2x mount pleasant Elizabeth Semillon 2005. A bargain @ £6.90 after 25% off

6x TF Marlborough PN (2008 & 2009), labelled as £10.18 but went through the till as £5.09!! -25% = £3.82
8x TF Yarra Vally PN 2007, labelled on the shelf as £14.69, price check revealed £7.39!! -25% = £5.55

Pure luck I found the PN bargains by pickinging u 2 bottles of the TF MPN to make up 12 with the Spanish reds.
Once I saw them go through at £5.09 I paid up and went back for more and thought to ask about the yarra too and happy days!
Came away with 24 bottles when only really intended to pick up 6-12 but avg bottle px comes in at just under a fiver

Nice haul Shez! Lots of decent glugging Pinot for over Christmas, yum.

I hope you enjoy the MPE Semillon, I found it hard work, will be interested to read your comments on this.

cheers GK.
I already have 2 of the MPE at home but yet to try 'em.
I was interested to read your tasting note as up until then I'd hear nothing but good things about it

Massive case of snooze you lose on the website today - had the RdD & Douro in the basket this morningback in stock at £2.67 but by the time I got to checkout they'd sold out.
Still in store but more like £4.12 after discount

My local T reckons the 25 for 6 offer ended Sunday.

Some great bargains on those PN's Shez. Nice one. 8)

They had taken the 25% signs down but I assumed that due to the online offer finishing at midnight tonight that it applied in store but did ask to make sure

Yeah, very happy with my haul. Was tempted to go back for more but think I've got enough for now

I'm pretty jealous of that Yarra haul  That Yarra style is a bit closer to PN that many.
Brilliant luck Shezz. I went to the Henley Tesco on Sunday to find some vaguely upscale specials, like the Yarra or TF GR Rioja on special disco, and came away empty handed. Everything desirable was normal store price, some cheapos were grocery discounted

£14.69 down to £5.55 Wow. I don't remember ever achieving a 62% discount.

Online the 50% discount offer DID NOT attract a further 25% discount for 6 or more in one transaction. The tills were running in your favour.
