What the ladies will be wearing for the most talked about wedding breakfast of the year;

Image

I like the fascinator, perfect for the occasion. Now lets re-wind the tape, and try opening that bottle again.

Remove the foil, find the ring on the wire, and twist anti-clockwise for 6 turns to release and remove the muzzle.............hold glass in left hand (if right handed) by the base or the bottom of the stem, to avoid warming, and finger prints on the flute, angle the glass by 15 degrees from the vertical to your right, pour gently from the right hand, favouring the right side of the glass....... offer the glass to your nose once the bubbles have subsided if a very foaming fizz......and the rest is history

It's a pretty tricky one that ! TBF......I couldn't serve shampoo while sitting on the bed either, and I have a strong wrist and large hand to crasp the bottle so that it balances in the horizontal as you start to pour  Ha, ha - It's all elbows, and for the ladies, you need also to be balancing on your Sunday best heels.

There will be zilch Royal ******* Wedding in this household. A like-minded pal has booked the weekend away with his lady to get away from the nonsense.
They are going to Rome. Nice? Yes until he found out that the current pope will be sanctifying the last one that w/e....heeeeeee, heeeeee.

Mel,

Would I like the Bacchus at MKS. Is it Sancerrish in style or more MSB. Or does it have a flavour all of it's own.

I will be working on the bathroom on Friday and paying no attention to the wedding.

I see Queeny has snubbed Blair and Brown, no invite for the champagne socialist and ecconomy wrecker.

Weather still looking good. Armed with a book and a times x-word I shall probably head for Exmoor...or maybe Brecon...

You can't get away from pictures of the sweety couple.

As for life here, I shall be on the flat roof with Dylan, setting out the portland stone on the parapet, so I'm getting fit this Spring.

That lady commander what'sit Jones, whose been doing dress rehearsels with 5000 coppers for 22 days (she says) is looking for an OBE if it doesn't go pear shaped on the day ! I may be becoming a recalcitrant republican, and certainly, if it wasn't for the high inflows of much needed foreign currency every year.

They'll be sweeping-up 100's of tons of plastic memorbillia detritus on Saturday morning. Hope those poor trees in the tubs get watered. Waitrose are giving staff a half day off, they can go home at 1:00 pm.

I sincerely hope they have a happy marriage after all this.

You girls could consider some close up shots of the labels, I think this will help people remember the wines when out shopping.

Long day, think I need a drink.

Pie & Chips on Minehead beach. Coffee in Dunster

Then introduced the old girl to Porlock Hill, which she took in her stride.

Image

Then had a home-made blackberry ice-cream at the top (with real blackberries) and chatted to binoculared folk looking for deer and hawks. Passed dozens en route.
Great views, cracking weather.

Predictably, perhaps, I watched the whole thing and absolutely loved it. Went out for an extended lunch, but I cannot apologise for being romantic and enjoying singing along to the hymns.

Have considered showing the labels. Do you think that would work at the end, after/with the credits. Or should we just shove the bottle right up to the video. My feeling is that we want as little moving around on screen as possible, apart from arm bending and glass lifting.
