would have also suggested you try Richard's Enira Bulgarian blend but it looks to have sold out.
There not any French gems you can point out for us?
Thanks Shez,
For sure.....The Rustenberg appeals to me as well. Did you come to a conclusion on '08 vintage widow - looks like a solid keeper - Eh ? If the '05 holds up and develops well over 5 years, then logic says the '08 would go on & on.
Great minds, I earmarked and looked into at Richard's Enira 2006 Bulgarian claret choice first thing this morning and it was in stock - Damn it. I also wanted to have a couple. There is also a Peloponnese claret I wanted to try. These southern Greek cabs, right down the peninsular near Monvasia are quite good, and natural & unfiltered generally. I tried them, when sailing there in the nineties. They are cooled by the afternoon mistral winds that are prevalent all thru the season.
Shez, I will go thru all the French wines If you wish - nothing really stood out when I flicked through the web pages. Fine French starts-off at strong money before the discount, but there will be middle rank wines that could interest you.
Please Let me know your interest. I will get back to you on this thread later.
Majestic have the M. Chapoutier Belleruche CdR villages on offer again @ £6.99, the '07 was a good glugger and with food also, so the '09 could fit the midweek bill, wasn't that over enamoured by the '08, not such a rich and ripe vintage.
