Not had it before so like to try new wines out.

Brancott now theres one hell of an average wine never been impressed full stop. Not likely to try again either too much to try out there.

Just bought some Beaucastel 1996 for a great price !!

A bit harsh on Brancott Estate there. For a mega brand which is what it is now it's very good and far closer to the real thing than any other branded effort but it can be sharp and acidic at times but also amazingly good at others.

Mel herself has given this wine a star on at least one occasion but has also been disappointed by it and lots of writers have wowed over one review and pulled a face at it the next.

I've had bottles where i've thought, fuff me,...this is so good why bother buying anything else and bottles where i've thought it so sharp as to be almost unpleasant. On balance though I think Montana do a fantastic job with a wine that is always on offer somewhere for about £6.

That said, i'd happily swap anyone a case of it for a single glass of a SC PB
