Anyone tried the 08 WR Barossa Shiraz yet?

Was out of stock earlier in the week in my local. I am going to the Waitrose website to remind me what they stock.

funnily enough, I was putting together a shortlist online
The Barossa Shiraz is out of stock there too

and the Shelmerdine all of a sudden has vanished from the wine list when it was there just a minute ago !

I've got 4 bottles of the 08 at home from when it was last on offer recently

If my local has got some more I'll open a bottle to check that it's worth grabbing another armful

Shelmerdine 09 only in my store. I have a solitary bottle of the 08.

I hope they do get in the barossa shz as this was making up the bulk of my order

cheers GK.

though I guess there will be some differences in the same way there is on the Barossa Shiraz (WR & St Halletts knocks the socks off Sains & St Halletts)

Think I'm gonna give a few of the WR in partnerships a go: Douro Valley Quinta de la Rosa, Chile Cab & maybe a couple more Barossa if they've got 'em in stock at my local

will take a couple along to neighbour's footy BBQ on Saturday

Edit: Tribs I've only got the 1 bottle of the 08 Shelmerdine left too. Think my local had a couple left on the shelves when I last visited a couple of weeks back so will keep my fingers crossed.
That said, I think this is best time to stock up on some Craggy Range Te Muna PN (Duncan, take it you'll be getting involved?)

Shez,

I picked up Te Muna SB and a load of La Courrone St Emillon and Chat Picard St Estephe from majestic, then ordered some MSB from Laithwaites on offer with a voucher and a couple of 2005 Nuit Saint Georges 1er.
Now the - Terres Blanches 2005 Hospices de Nuits Saint Georges prem cru . The order with bin ends was changed - not complaining - so I got upgraded to this, and just could not resist this wine on the vintage '05

Sadly, I cant take up that CR te Muna PN - my budget for June is busted just now.

Always happens at the same time. That posh NSG is not properly ready till 2015

Feel your pain.
On the back of the NY stag do, I have Ruby's 5th birthday to pay for later this month (Kids parties and presents are astronomical nowadays !!) and the car needs a service and probably new brakes (hoping just pads but think discs could do with changing too) and also wanted to get a few things to tweek it up to ~380/380 (bhp/torque)

Still, I can't resist a bargain so no doubt with pick up a mixed 12 from waitrose.
Really need to get me some will power !

I bought the Barossa St Hallett/WR shiraz last time they had it on offer - early May. Took it to a friend's for supper and loved it. I didn't write a note, though, and so am not sure of the vintage.

The only bottle I have is a 2007, but don't know how long I've had it. I see, from looking back at the May offer that it was 2007/08, which doesn't help at all.

Someone go and taste it. OK, will go tomorrow as need to shop. Will report back. If I had an iPhone I could do it from the car park.

Just back with a mxd doz. 5 that I've not tried b4. One ea of 3 classic Alsace, the Fvre St Bris, and (I'm coming for you if I don't like it Mel) the right honourable Bacchus.

I also bought a Bacchus. I have loved it in the past, and fully expect to love it again. When you say "I'm coming for you" I don't feel threatened at all. However, I will love it and so you'll have no excuse.
