The "BA" label and chat have pushed me to notice just how often this combo of two letters crop up in the wine lexicon.
From Barossa to Bandol, Banrock to Bages, Barolo to AlBArino, barrel to Barton, and Barbarella to Bardot. Marvellous. Millions of them.

Was going to add half a dozen more, and then realised that sleep is a much more appealing option.

And HOT as well. Shorts and T shirt since Mid day.

That Beach Boys number 1 hit use to really get on my wick. The 45 going round and round on the radiogram at Parties, Bacchus U remember the auto pick-up, and then it would clonk down again, and the whole thing over & over ? - I think I ended up enjoying Ba ba black sheep, when we had kids, a lot more in the end.

Back to the Veg garden for me, till sundown, then bath then a glass or two or .....

Cutting-edge stuff. The first records in my house were 78s. Stupid Cupid , Connie Francis and Bird Dog, Everlys.

Frank S

From a missionary Jumble sale, I acquired a wind-up HMV gramophone, that I kept in a Tree house, a narrow hut that I built myself, and which spanned 3 close black sappy Poplar trees that had been pollarded. Doctors and nurses only accessible from a rope ladder.

By the light, of the silvery moon...... Well Mr B, you know the rest.

I have discovered a new world pinot noir which is vaguely half decent and just under a tenner. Shez takes some credit for this.

No need GK, I was about 11 when I played that 78 more than two storeys up in the trees. The HMV weighed at least 60 lbs and had a large brass horn. I'm still amazed that the residents in the homes much closer than ours did not complain. Maybe they did to my Dad, but I never heard.
I'll look out for that Film, I may have seen it, but don't recognise the title.

Yarra, Yerring Station 2004 tasted like over jammy Monthélie with some MSG. Still it is a start, and I suppose the ground in the Yarra and the climat, may be a little closer to the edges at the back of volnay  Roots stocks as well as terroir is also a massive factor.

I think young pinot noir lovers, do not suffer my dilemna quite so accutely, since I notice that many young professionals appear to be satisfied with a more jammy style - Can I say that ?

James Stewart,

Forget the points - Two easy. Yeah, it's 10 to 7, so I'll accept a glass of Beaune instead.....thank you very muchly.

Your starter for 10, or a glass of Trimbach '06 Riesling reserve.

Who was the old guy in the nightshirt ?
