Spotted but not bought today in Morrisons..

Crux MSB '09, reduced from £9.99 to £4.95.
On the rear- 'produced for the UK palate....' :wink:

The only info I can find is this from last year-

This guy bought the wine from Winerack at 50% disco for £5.98 and rates their highly knowledgeabe staff. He puts lemon juice on his asparagus ? The asparagus is then consumed with a possibly *green '08 MSB - Killed asparagus ?

I have given up on Morrisons. Their fresh fish was the best of all the supermarkets but on the last two visits it was poor.

They had some nice Loire sb's but apart from that their wine list was nowt special.

I shan't be going there for a sb that is obviously packed full of sugar for the UK palate.

Ba, did you see the price of the 96 Champagne at Oddbins, £202....you could buy two cars and a bus and still have change for 6 bottles of Lindeaur special reserve

Oh and it's Chelsea away in the cup.......how lovely is that.

However, Morrisons do sell pork crackling all by itself, so you can have it with roast chicken, beef or lamb.

Actually, I do like their meat selection because it's a bit interesting and there are lots of old fashioned and cheap cuts.

Sainsburys were selling whole duck crowns for £5 last week, they still may be.

I stuck it in the slow-cooker* with some stock, leek and a sprinkling of Chinese five-spice. Seven hours later... made a reduced sauce from red wine & homemade plum jam, with a little of the stock from the SC. Served with parsnip chips with a honey glaze and baby carrots.

A Michelin Star meal for two for under £7. Done.

*If you use a SC I recommend using an small bowl to sit the duck on to keep it above the stock, the fat drips away and the duck meat acquires a cleaner, moist texture.

Once attempted aromatic duck at home. 13 hours later, as the steamed, marinaded and dried duck was hanging in the pantry awaiting a final roast, a fox or cat bent the holey metal pantry window grill thing and ate half of it.

Rushed to Somerfield, bought another and whizzed through the process in a mere 9 hours. Good, but not that good.
