99% Tarrango and 1% other crossing of the Portuguese red grape Touriga and the white grape Sultana. Grapes grown in NE Victoria. Tarrango grape is named after the tiny township of Tarrango in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria. 64% of the grapes for this wine were grown at Brown Brothers 140ha Mystic Park vineyard, located 70m above sea level in marine sediment soil. Destemmed and crushed to the fermenter. 11% was hand-picked and put through carbonic maceration. Matured in stainless steel with
100% malolactic fermentation.

One up from rosé in colour. Fresh, light and appealingly perfumed. Light, fresh and lovely. Some strawberry flavour. Good, once more, after a lean patch. Alc 12.5%, TA 5.8g/l, pH 3.45, RS 7.5g/l. Available from Wine Direct and 184 branches.

This had a tremendous review in my newspaper, so I had to try it. Reminds me of Loire reds, Saumur, Bourgeuil etc. Not my style, but treated as a Rosé, straight from the fridge, it will be appreciated by many. Alcoholic Tizer sans bubbles to me I'm afraid.
