The palest beige/pink. Very little aroma. Very dry indeed, having almost the effect of fino, without the yeast and salt flavours. A very attractive aperitif in the garden, but you’d definitely need something to munch on. Salted almonds?

It's definitely a rose with structure and a bit of weight behind it on the palate, plenty of red berry fruit but strawberry juice it isn't. If your idea of a rose involves Mediterranean cuisine then you can't do much better than this.

That said it doesn't over do it, and as such it's simple enough enjoy in volume as an aperitif.

There are some good producers in the Luberon but you could move down the coast to Bandol and the same wine will cost you twice as much.

Welcome and .......Thanks for responding. It's great to get proper tasting notes from other wine quaffers out there 8) .
I was beginning to believe, apart from just a few of us, that there were 1500 gawking viewers signed up here, who were going to provide absolutely sweet FA .

Cheers Wizzy.

Or even 3x the price. Tesco have a decent Bandol for £12.49. Very intense grenache flavours with just a little too much white pepper on the end for me.

Normally I wander around Tescos but went in to Oddbins in the hope that they might stock your "Les Ormes de Cambras Cinsault Rose 2008 Nicolas Wines" as I believe they're under the same ownership (the French don't come this far North so we only have Oddbins).

I'd recommend the Restanques as it's a something a bit different (no hint of petals or blossom here) and when coupled with Oddbins 20% discount it's very quaffable.

Welcome Wizzy. I'm the web manager, but have been a bit detached from the site over the summer, other than throwing the offers up as they arrive. There's some stuff going on at home that needs attention and so I'm cutting down until it's all over.
