About 1/5th of Tesco fine wines are on offer. In stores only.
Slightly disappointing. The 2004 was wonderful. Apple and baked biscuit. This is apple and flint. Slightly sour finish. Just about worth a tenner as it has oodles of flavour.
The Puligny Montrachet and the oaked Megalith Sancerre are on offer too.
Ugh - Sorry Goose. I'd have thought 05 was superior to 04, as is clearly the case with Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc from the region ? When did you have the 04 ?
I had a 05 cheapo PF from Waitrose very recently, and really liked the mind boggleing pineapple fullness. You
want /need an Avante Guarde style to your upmarket Loire's

for satisfaction
That sour finish is wierd* for a ripe SB (* in conflict with ripe fruit) Do you think the wine was slightly corked

was the cork saturated all the way thru or had dark mucky cracks in it ? was a fault with the oak, re-cycled from last year's Baron !, how about smoke, any ?, Do you think your palate was dissapointed, cos you thought that you'd saved 8 quid on a treat, but no actual treat was experienced. Was the wine lying in a hot storeroom for 2 years ?
Dunno - too many questions.
BTW - What year was that P. Montrachet ? If you can recall
