Quite a funky smell. Refreshing taste with some cheesy , oaky, evolved fruits flavours. Rather nice. Reduced to £5.99 over Christmas. Worth stocking up.

Shared two bottles of this last night - bland - disappointing- didn't think it worth £4.99 - am interested to know what others think.

Must admit I’m not a big fan of the Picinni wines, I haven’t tried this particular wine so cant comment but the ones I have tried come across as what I like to call 'shallow wines'.

The exception would be their Chianti Riserva Selezione Oro available though Tesco, the '04 is a nice drop, a good Cabernet blend, decent oak integration and a very good food wine.

I agree about Piccini generally, which is why I was pretty impressed with this one. Maybe I just had a good bottle. Will be interested to hear any reports from others.
