Produced by Boutinot, from 45% Grenache Blanc, 35% Marsanne, 10% Roussanne, 10% Vermentino The grapes are pressed with a small amount of skin contact and undergo cold fermentation, with a small amount of time (3 months) on the lees. Malolactic fermentation is prevented. 13%vol Awards: Decanter 2008, Commended; IWC 2008, Commended An interesting smell for under a fiver. Spicy and promising. Tasty and, at least, different from Chardonnay. A good buy and a very pleasant label which I found amusing the first time I saw it. A cat (chat) sitting on and egg (oeuf). Geddit? 08/10/2008
