Made for Tesco by Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel and a part in barriques at controlled temperatures using selected yeasts. The late-harvested proportion of the blend was fermented to dryness. A portion of the wines are aged for a further 3 months in barriques with a regular stirring of lees. Cortese is the only grape variety that is allowed in the Gavi DOC. Vinified in the hill-top winery of Castel di Serra which is 10 minutes drive from the town of Gavi, Piemonte.
Sweet, ripe greengage smell. Very inviting indeed. I’m increasingly drawn to Gavi. Ripely fruity and delicious. This is an interesting wine. 12.5%
