It saddens me to have to let you know that our forum friend Duncan has sadly passed away.
He had been diagnosed with cancer a earlier this year and had been looking for the right time to let you guys know via a group email but sadly never got round to it.
He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 31st Aug.
He was an extremely nice chap who was very knowledgeable on a lot of wines/regions that I like. I'll miss his valued insight and opinions and will be popping a cork and raising a glass in his honour.

Mike

Mike,
This is awful news I wondered where he was over the past 6-8 months.
We used to exchange emails with bargain offers or just general wine talk.
As you state he was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed.

Thoughts are with his wife and family.

Terrible news. I so enjoyed talking MSB with MrD. He was very patient with me I think....

Thanks for posting, Shezz.

Sad indeed. Learned a lot from Duncan when I was a newbie to this group. Never met him, but spoke to him on the 'phone, and counted him as a pal.

Echo all below and, yes, I'll miss him and his words of wisdom.
