Crazily heavy bottle and beautiful label. Very rich and spicy nose. Loads of chocolate and coffee - a ripe, rich spicy and exciting wine. The taste is pretty sweet.

Lovely farmyardy nose with some violet. Both carry on on the palate. This is gorgeous.

Strange, savoury nose. Sweet and ripe, but a bit odd.

Cantos de Valpiedra Rioja 2009

Ooh, I so love American oak. The aroma is so appealing.  Carries through in the mouth. Lovely, savoury and typical.  Good price. Yum

Juan Luis Cañas Selección de la Familia
Rioja Reserva 2005
Rioja DOCa
Laithwaites £17.99

I love this wine, from the bottle shape, through the perfect spicy, oaky nose with fresh herbal notes, to the savoury, perfectly balanced palate.  Dry, but with fruit and a nice evolvement in bottle. My perfect wine.
