This is a Cotes de Roussillon Villages. Very, very heavy bottle. Extraordinary nose. Perhaps prunes or dried figs. Very rich, New World style. Alcohol at 15% is in balance, but the whole thing is massive. Would never guess it as French. The price probably reflects low yields, expensive barrels and general ultra-vinification. Not for me.
