100% Chenin Blanc produced using the ‘enhanced quality project’ devised with Sam Harrop MW. The vineyards in Saumur are grassed
and on tufa limestone soil with an oceanic climate. The vines are 20 years old and planted at a density of 4,000vines/ha. The grapes were harvested in late-Sept by machine. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control at 17°C for 7 days.
No malolactic. The wine was then stored in inox tanks for at least 2 months. Winemaker Eric Laurent. Suitable for vegetarians. Alc 12.5%,
TA 5.84g/l, pH 3.11, RS 4.3g/l. Waitrose Wine Direct and 152 branches.
IWC 2011 Silver Medal Winner.

Creamy nose. Just slightly off-dry but very cleanly acidic. It wakes you up. And lasts well. Ideal.
