100% Chardonnay from the foothills of the Andes in the Curicó Valley. The vines are planted on loamy soils, are 15 years old and planted
at a density of 5,000vines/ha. The grapes were hand-harvested in mid-March 2010. The fruit was gently pressed then fermented at very
low temperature with selected aromatic yeast for approx. 4 weeks in stainless steel tanks. Some weekly lees stirring and 40% of the final
blend matured in used French oak barrels and the remainder in tank. 20% of the final blend underwent malo. Suitable for vegetarians and
vegans. Winemaker Aurelio Montes. Alc 13.5%, TA 3.56g/l, pH 3.26, RS 1.5g/l. Waitrose Wine Direct and 236 branches.
Nice, green, asparagus nose. Full flavour. Good everything. A high performer for as long as I can remember.
