This wine presents very well. Nice bottle shape, grade A cork, lead foil that is nice to peel. I bought before the VAT and inflation hikes which saved 50p or a £1 on sub tenner wines

The wine at its best tasting temperature is a lttle too soft and melony. Not crisp apple as they say on the Maj web site - there could be bottle variance. This is a more leesy style than Jadot, and there is less lift to the fruit than in Nick Potel's offers.

Serve cooler and the wine perks up considerably as an apperatif. The resting on the lees has resulted in a stalkier finish that has a similar flavour to the scrapping of a slightly underipe yellow melon skin.

The two Jadot macons have better lift, acidity and some white gentian flower & honeyed notes on the finish. The Potel macon / cote de Beaune blanc mix has more body and is more expensive.

For price postioning, as an apperatif, and for summer lift and freshness, the Jadot wins.

I have not drunk the Jadot ones for several months - so I'm sorry that I don't know how well their pre Christmas jeune fille characteristics are lasting.
