Tesco (08/11/10) £6.99
Very pale colour. Appealing nose. Very Pinot, very gentle. Same in the mouth. Like it. Gentle, rounded and easy.

Tasted a month later

Rio Bio Bio Pinot Noir 2009, which is a very reasonable £6.99 from Tesco, had a typical cherry benolyn aroma, which was also spicy and floral, but the taste was overtly oaky. I found it like pine resin or Christmas trees – as if the barrels had been made from very new oak which is unlikely at £6.99.

Go figure.

Tried at the weekend. Was like the earlier tasting note. Noticeable benolyn, but definitely not overly oaky. No pine resin. Bottle Variance?

Nice and Easy. A little confected. Not bad for a fiver.
