Bought this during 25% disco campaign. Therefore £ 8.99 less 2.99 less 25% = half price

For £4.50 the best cheap '09 bordelaise style (not technically bordelaise though) this year, other than Imports from one of my best mates, now resident in France.

For £6.00 still Ok. Spicy cab dominated claret, very ripe 2009 vintage, very easy, not savoury by classic standards, but not sweet either. A gereric bergerac from independent properties, with a daft marketing name: Grande Reserve ! That sort of designation puts one off buying more house claret - Damn, should have picked up more of this.

As you know, 2009 is a dream vintage in the bordelaise at all price levels. The artisan's versions are fuller and fruitier than the 2005's. Ready for drinking now, a bit short on acidity, but for £4.50, what more can you ask

Pascal Poussenin was the cellar master, bottled by a large outfit in the Gironde, 13% vol. Quite full and concentrated for the price. Best after sploshing in a wide necked carafe, or leave in wide glasses for a while.
