Winemaker and winery: Duncan Forsyth, Mount Edward Wines.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir.
Region: Central Otago.
Viticulture/Vinification:
Earth’s End Pinot Noir is grown from vines in the Gibbston and Lowburn sub regions of Central Otago. The wine has been made in a traditional fashion, hand harvesting followed by fermentation with natural yeasts. The wine was hand plunged up to three times daily with total time on skins an average of 21 days. The wine was matured 100% in French oak barrels, 25% new, for 10 months. Natural malolaction fermentation occurred in barrel during spring and followed by racking and light filtration.
Availability: Now - 75 stores.
13.5% vol.

Very hot on the nose. Sweet, rich and fruity. Not at all Burgundian.
