Grape variety: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot.
Region: Gascony, South West France.
Viticulture/Vinification: Harvesting of the grapes in September. Light pressing of the grapes until an intense pink colour is obtained. Fermentation in controlled-temperature conditions for approximately 10 days. Matured on fine lees to give volume to the wine. Blending of the different grape varieties. Sterile bottling.
Availability: Now – 500 stores.
Very fruity nose. Like fragrant pears. Dry and quite plain, with the merest hint of strawberry. OK, but not great.
