Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay.
Region: The Domaine’s vineyards are in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet.
Viticulture/Vinification: Minimal intervention in the vineyard (‘lutte raisonnée’). Guyot pruning. The wine was fermented in Alliers oak barrels at a temperature of 16-18ºC. 40% of the barrels were new, the rest one to two years old. The wine was kept on its lees with regular bâtonnage for 11 months before bottling.

Really gold-coloured. Loads of new oak on the nose. Very inviting. The oak is very forward in the mouth, making the taste quite nutty. The bottle age is showing wonderfully. A fair price and a lovely wine.
