Winemaker and winery: Owen Elias, Chapel Down.
Grape variety: 100% Bacchus.
Region: Lamberhurst, Kent.
Viticulture/Vinification: 2009 was an excellent vintage in England, and particularly in the Lamberhurst vineyard in Kent where the grapes for this wine were sourced. The grapes were harvested with good ripeness and gently whole bunch pressed to preserve the purity and delicacy of this aromatic grape variety. The juice was cool fermented in stainless steel with yeast selected to enhance the varietal expression, producing this classic Bacchus wine.

Very pretty, Germanic nose, but with a lot of musky cat, as well. A very inviting nose. Just off dry, and quite Germanic in the mouth, but with sharp and exciting acidity. I like it enormously.
