Winemaker and winery: Rodrigo Romero, Bodegas Y Vinedos Corpora. Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Region: Bio Bio Valley, Chile. Viticulture/Vinification: The alluvial and volcanic stones, rocks, clay and sand in the soil gradually stress the vines and make them struggle to find nutrients. Grapes are de-stemmed and cool macerated. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks between 12 and 15ÂșC, and then the wine is aged over lees. Availability: 85 stores.
Only the lightest fragrance. Quite pithy and textured. Not at all fruity. Pretty full-flavoured on the finish, greenly. 23/03/10
