Very fruity nose – like Fruit Salads (friend of Black Jacks for you children of dentists). Bright, fresh acidity. Fruity, pear and peardrop taste. £7.49 is pushing it, but it’s often on offer. Easy drinking with some length.

Hands-over-ears Dunc, fruit salad is bang on and no blackjacks, but maybe some nougat. I also have some aftertaste to follow the light, zingy metallic start. This like the Lancellotta has a mouth-drying end, and is also acceptable at quite a range of temps.

Gavi rocks and we shall all drink more of it.
