This is currently reduced from £11.99 to £5.99 for a half. It is rather nice and I'll go back and get some more. Not much call for halves of Sauternes near my local branch.

TN

Dark golden colour. Rich, ripe, syrupy aroma. Hint of marmalade, but more like - imagine - very ripe apricots, fried in butter, with a tiny dash of Sauternes sloshed in.

Rolls round the mouth. Sweet, some marmalade and over-ripe apricots. Hangs, sweetly in the mouth for quite a while. A pithy tang, which stops it being simply sweet. Def worth getting.

Had a bottle of this over Christmas and it was very pleasant.

Do you think it'll get better and better over the next few years Mel?

Yes, but it's a lower division Sauternes so I wouldn't keep it for more than a couple more years.
