Cats rather than gooseberry. Very appealing smell. Good, zingy, typical taste - reasonable price - compares favourably with Stoneleigh and Montana.

tasted 7/9/06

Hi,

Did you get around to tasting the Tesco ' finest ' Highfield Estate sauvignon blanc.

If so, how do you rate it by comparison with Stoneleigh, Jackson Est etc.

Best

Don't get me started on Tesco! Their press tasting was this week, but they have stopped inviting regional journalists. You'll need to try one of the nationals for that one. A friend of mine did go, so I'll ask her what she thought of it and get back to you.

I understand that I will be invited in March.
