Oh my goodness, what a strange smell. Some people say Grüner Veltliner smells of celery salt, and GV often does have a slight whiff, but this is just like celery salt. I have never smelt a wine like this before. The flavour is similar but with fresh and ripe fruit and a fabulously juicy finish. I love it, but would never, ever, give it to non-wine friends because they’d hate it.
