Beautifully rich, oaky, aroma. Really draws you in. Big, rich and exciting wine. I’d shave 1% off the alcohol, but I think that’s my problem. Good wine.

Creamy, sweet nose. There’s a lot of texture here and sweet fruit. I prefer The Ned.

Te Mata Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Really stinky. Like silver polish. Swirled it a lot and some lifted, leaving some weight, perhaps some vanilla. Very oaky taste. Think Te Koko.

Fairleigh Estate Riesling 2011
