100% Shiraz. Grapes for this wine were selected from a variety of vineyards from the warmer north to the cooler south but grown predominantly on sand and loam soils over red clay. The vines are between 10-30 years old. The grapes were crushed and fermented in stainless steel over 6-8 days between 22-24°C. Aged in American oak for 12 months. Winemaker ~ Toby Barlow at the St Hallett Winery.
Spicy nose, with deep cassis notes. Sweet, ripe fruit and some toasty oak. Exactly as expected and so good.
New vintage, available now, 346 stores, exclusive, screw cap14.5%
