100% Chardonnay. The fruit is sourced from both estate vineyards in Hawkes Bay and Marlborough as well as contracted growers in these areas and Central Otago. Gentle whole berry pressing, cool fermentation with French oak, matured on lees for six months and finished in steel tanks on lees. Winemaker ~ Tony Bish from Sacred Hill, a family-owned winery based in Hawkes Bay since 1986.
Orange, matt label. Pretty dark colour. Ripe and tropical nose. Nicely balanced. Good fruit, and absolutely fine. Can't get excited, but it does the job well and looks good.
New, available 25th October, 220 stores, exclusive, screw cap 13.5%
