54% Shiraz, 46% Grenache. The grapes were hand-harvested, co-fermented on skins for 8 days and matured in new 1 and 2 year old French oak barriques for 15 months. There is a degree of climatic difference throughout McLaren Vale due to the exposure to cooling ocean breezes and the changes in altitude where the region merges with the hills, therefore site selection and the marriage of site to variety are all-important.
