VdP d’Oc. Clean and green Chardonnay, with some peardrop. Sweetly fruity and perfectly pleasant. Not particularly interesting, but likeable and easy.

On offer at £5.98. No character, little depth. A teeeny hint of ViognIer, but in general a drinkable non-descript glass

When last on offer, may be same time last year, I tried a bottle of their SB supreme what's it cuvee'.
Very large and heavy bottle, was expecting an Ardeche version of SB with some mineral character. Instead, I got a candyfloss / teenybopper version.
I was measuring the quality of the wine (not regional character) against our benchmark JE'07

The name .....Le Grande what's it, is designed to imply something :?: Mel was very diplomatic about this wine in her tasting notes

I'm sorry that I hadn't tipped folks off about this brand packaging big bottle con on the forum last year.

'09 now and on offer at £5.05. More Vio is evident in a hint of floral fruitiness. Pineapple chunks again (sorry Mr. D). A step up on last year and a nice botttle for a fiver.
