Grape variety: 100% Syrah.
Region: Hermitage, Northern Rhône.
Viticulture/Vinification: Grapes are grown on steep terraced south-facing vineyards and harvested by hand and quality graded. The grapes are destemmed and subject to a long fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is transferred to barrel while still warm to encourage malolactic fermentation. The wine is racked several times and matured in French oak for eighteen months. The sweet smell of oak and some baked fruit. Spicy baked fruit in the mouth and nice balance.
