Less obviously fruity than the Jadot Beaujolais Villages. Smells more like red grape skins. Full bodied, with higher tannin than you might expect on a Fleurie. Quite structured, but with ripe fruit. Very good. Perhaps for a posh lunch.

I still have two left of the 2005 in stock, which was drinking on Easter Monday lunch quite beautifully. The wine has gone up a £1 since then, but that is inflation I suppose.

I'd have given the 2005 a £ Good £ Full and village cru Beaujolais with structure is now quite expensive from Merchants.

cellaring these, Morgon, Moulin a Vent, earthy Brouilly and St Amour mature nicely over 4 - 5 years if in the right conditions and from the right vintage
