100% Carmenère -90% Colchagua, 10% Maipo fruit. Lyre, VSP, GDC and pergola trained. Clay/loam soils. Destemmed, lightly crushed. 3 days cold soak. Fermented at 25-32ºC for 20 days with regular rack and return. All of the blend aged 8 months in lightly-toasted 70% French and 30% American oak barriques, 50% new, 50% second use. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Lovely Carmenere smell – herbal and most definitely purple. Sweet fruit and green pepper taste. Refreshing and a good price. The 14.5% alcohol is well-hidden.
