100% Sangiovese. A classic example of modern Tuscan winemaking from one of central Italy’s leading consultants, Lorenzo Landi. Made from late-harvested, low-yielding vines (55 qli/ha) grown in vineyards at the heart of Vino Nobile and matured for 18 months in a mixture of traditional Slavonian oak botte (70%) and French oak barriques (30%). The wine also receives a minimum of 6 months' ageing in bottle before release.
Fragrant, although nothing compared to the Malvira tasted before it. Oaky, with a cheesy texture and refreshing acidity. Possibly a little astringent to drink by itself but perfect for food.
Alc 12.5%, TA 5.49g/l, pH 3.53, RS 1.5g/l. Available from Wine Direct and 192 branches.
