100% Sangiovese from Barone Francesco Ricasoli, the 32nd Baron, one of the pioneers of the 'Château' concept in Tuscany. Estate grown grapes, picked late-Sept. Fermented then transferred to small oak casks and barriques where it ages for about 10 months. Then held in bottle for further maturation before release.
Sweet fruit and some brett – smelling of saddles and muck. Delicious, dirty, mucky, leathery taste. Yum.
