40% Carignan and 40% Grenache from old vines, with 20% Syrah. The vines are planted on a rocky slope (pudding stones) and produce low yields under 40hl/ha. Traditional fermentation after destalking for the Grenache and carbonic maceration for the rest of the blend with daily racking. Oak aged for 9 months.
Very heavy bottle. Nicely spicy, oaky nose with some baked fruit. Nice, rich and more New World in style. Dark and fairly complex and interesting. Good dinner party wine.
Alc 14%, TA 3.30g/l, pH 3.60, RS 1.5g/l. Available from Wine Direct and 129 branches.
