Mid pink. Not much smell, and certainly nothing attractive. Hard, dry and initially rather dull. Not enough acidity. Perhaps suitable for lunchtime pasta dishes, after you've already had a couple of glasses and have stopped concentrating too hard on the wine. Not good enough for an aperitif.
