Region: 85% Maipo Valley, 15% Rapel Valley Produced by Concha y Toro, from 85% CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 15% SYRAH 100% de-stemmed bunches were fermented in stainless steel tanks for 7 days at 30˚C. The finished wine was aged in predominantly French oak (90%) for 16 months. 30% of the blend was aged in new oak with medium toast. There was no fining and only minimal filtration prior to bottling 14.5%vol Awards: IWC 2008, Bronze Very sweet, heady aroma. Sweet vanilla on the nose. Some coffee in the mouth. Perhaps too sweet for savoury food. 08/10/2008
