Produced by Ken Forrester Wines, from 90% CHENIN BLANC,10% SEMILLION The chenin grapes were hand picked, crushed and pressed at 6ºC, settled in tank and allowed to ferment spontaneously. The semillon is Helderberg fruit, which was crushed and pressed, barrel fermented in used French oak and blended after 4 months. 14%vol The waxiness of the semillon really leads, to the point that it smells almost like fat or lard. Might put people off. Disappointingly hot and not terribly fresh. 08/10/2008
