 The vines are supported on high trellis and are constantly supervised in order to maximise light exposure on clusters and leaves. After hand-harvesting, fermentation tanks are loaded by gravity. The grapes undergo a prolonged maceration of up to 4-5 weeks. Ageing takes place in new and semi-new barrels of French oak (Allier) for 11 months, followed by bottling without any fining or further treatment.

 Dark and moody on the nose.  Imagine a whole bowl of damsons that are just going over.  Very sweet and new worldy with high alcohol and a dark finish.  Not my usual type, but ok for a fling.
