Made for M&S by René Vanatelle. Chateau Lascombes from 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
The grapes are always harvested by hand. Wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The different grape varieties are vinified separately. The Merlot undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak casks. Once the assemblage is performed, the wine is aged in oak casks for 18 months. – major stores.
Deep brick red. Fragrant, feminine, distinctive smell with some farmyard. Very, very gentle mouth. Tannin has dropped away leaving velvety, delicious, savoury, warm leathery taste.
